In most parts of the country, the rainfall amounts in December were smaller than average, even though there were several areas, in which December was rainy, such as the Jizreel Valley, the southern edge of the Coastal Plain and the Dead Sea area. Most of December rains occurred in a single significant event in the middle of the month, during which new local records were set for daily amounts, and there was also flooding in several areas. The accumulated rainfall amount since the beginning of the season exceeds the average in the Coastal Plain and the north of the country, mostlydue to the rainy November. It is below average in other areas.

Temperatures in December were higher than average, and that concludes 2020, which was warmer than average, similarily to the previous years.
