April was warmer than average mainly in the mountains and inland and this was especially noticeable during the day and in the northeastern parts of the country. Nighttime temperatures were close to average in most parts of the country except the mountains.
During April, there were several Sharav events, with intermediate cooler periods, which is typical for this month. The first part of the month was cool mostly and even had two rain episodes, whereas its second part was mostly hot and one of its Sharav events set new temperature records for April in the central and southern Coastal Plain.
Rainfall amounts in April were smaller than average in most parts of the country and in the south of the country there was no rain at all.
The rainfall amounts since the beginning of the season exceed the average for the entire season in the Coastal Plain, are close to average in the north of the country
