December was warmer than average, with  rainfall amounts below normal in the north and center of the country, and above normal in the south of the country The scarcity of the rainfall was prominent in the north of the country, where only about a quarter to a half of the December rainfal was obtained, whereas in the Negev and the Arava regions the amounts reached 2 to 3 times the average.
