A prolonged heatwave affecting the region is forecast to conclude today, November 24th. Following an earlier heatwave in early November, which was briefly interrupted by cooler weather and rainfall, temperatures rose again shortly thereafter. Since November 18th, a heatwave has prevailed, with highs surpassing 35°C. These readings set new maximum temperature records for late November at numerous stations nationwide, while several also broke records for high minimum temperatures.
