A brief yet intense and exceptional rainfall event has struck our region over the past 24 hours. During the event, several tens of millimeters fell in various parts of the country; notably, in Samaria, over 100 mm were recorded within a span of just four hours. The rainfall intensity measured in this area was highly anomalous, with a probability of less than 1%. Heavy rains also fell in the Negev, triggering flash floods in the streams.
