Particularly notable were the heavy precipitation amounts in the Arava, where some stations recorded 25 to 40 mm, amounts exceeding the multi-year annual average for the entire season in this region. The rain fell with high intensity and was occasionally accompanied by hail. Strong currents and flash floods occurred in many streams, leading to the closure of major roads in the area for many hours.
