On the whole, February was slightly drier than average, as opposed to the very rainy December-January months. In the north of the country, Coastal Plain, as well the Jordan valley rainfall was 60-80% of the average. In contrast, in the central mountains and the south of the country rainfall exceeded the average. Although February was not a particularly rainy month, it was characterized by many rain events and rainy days.

In most parts of the country, the accumulated rainfall from the start of the season exceeded the average for the equivalent period, and on a countrywide average, the accumulated rainfall exceeded the average for the entire rainy season.

February temperatures were close to the average; nevertheless, a very cold spell occurred on the first half of the month.
