description

Rainfall in December was above average in northern and central Israel. In the north it was considerably above the average, while in the south it was below the average. Most of the rains occurred during a significant meteorological event at the end of the month, in which excessive daily rainfall was recorded in the north of the country.

This abundant rainfall in the north overcame the significant deficit which prevailed at the end of November, to the extent that now the accumulated rainfall from the beginning of the rainfall season exceeds the average for this same period.

Temperatures in December were close to average. The year 2019 was warmer than average, but was less warm than the preceding four years.
