November was significantly warmer than normal, and with very little rain.
Rainfall in November in many regions did not exceed 20% of the average for this month, and in several places only a few mm of rain were recorded, or none at all. Despite these very small amounts of rain, this is not a record-breaking minimum, as there were a few even drier Novembers in the past, such as in 1962, 2010, and 2013.
Following an October that was characterized by strong variations in rainfall distribution, the cumulative amount of rain from the beginning of the season is far smaller than the average for the same period.
As can be expected of such a dry November, this month was also warmer than usual. During the first half of the month there was an unusual sequence of warm days. However, November was not the warmest since records began. There were warmer Novembers before, recently in 2010, and also in the 1940s and 1960s.
